The project Vallée Archipel is a symbol of the overcoming of the urban-rural divide and proves that NEXPO can be regarded as an invitation to the whole of Switzerland. The initiative approaches the geographical region of the Rhône Valley through the idea of an archipelago-city. The emphasis is placed on culturally-participative accompaniment to the “third Rhône correction” by the population. Vallée Archipel thus proves the potential for cultural accompaniment of the large infrastructural projects taken forward within the framework of the NEXPO.
