As a child, Azize Ferizi watched her mother and aunts prepare for events. Thereby she learned that appearance can be a position, depending on the context. In 2022, the author takes a visit to an intergenerational hairdressing salon in Prishtina as an opportunity to explore questions of aesthetics and the collective pictorial memory of the Balkans.
